Why Join UTRIP?
UTRIP is a 6-week immersive research experience for undergraduates pursuing Master’s or Ph.D. degrees from June to August 2024. Participate in research methodologies, mentorship from distinguished faculty members, and real graduate school life at the University of Tokyo. Aside from research, there are field trips, cultural events, and lectures to round out the experience.
Eligibility Criteria:
- International students from all over the world are eligible.
- Students in their second or subsequent years of study at a recognised non-Japanese university.
- At the time of application, you had completed one year of a Bachelor’s degree programme.
- Priority will be given to those who are expected to be in their third year of a four-year Bachelor’s programme or their second year of a three-year programme.
- Enrolled in natural sciences or a field related to them.
- A desire to pursue long-term career goals in a scientific field.
- Participation in the entire 6-week programme (June 26-August 6, 2024).
- English language proficiency (TOEFL or equivalent for non-native speakers).
